End of the Year Update

CU SOEA/Kappa Delta Pi Officer Meeting

The SOEA/KDP officers met today, December 4, 2009. Here is a tentative schedule for the spring: ( the Bookmark will have the confirmed dates, times, and places to come soon along with an updated blog)

Spring 2010:

· Community Service at Swinney Elementary School Lawton, OK: six small morals on the gym walls: February 18-20, February 22 will be in the school’s morning assembly to present the gym to the school. PEAL and the Pre-Education from the Vo-Tech here in Lawton, have volunteered their time to help with the project. The school will have two ladders for us to use, 3 over head projectors, and have the walls wash down before hand. TBA

· Meetings to look forward to:

o Classroom Management with Bonnie from OEA in January 14-CETES Conference Room-12:30-1:45pm

o David Williams from OEA-Legal Issues-March 10-CETES Conference Room-12:30-1:45pm

o First Year Teacher Panel in April 29 and Mentee awards-4:30-6pm-Room TBA

o State SOEA Out Reach to Teach: March 5 (Crooked Oak Public Schools PreK building)

o State SOEA Spring Convention: March 6 (Edmond-UCO: 7:30-8:29am sign in, 8:30-3:30pm convention)

• The hotel that will probably be used will be: Comfort Suites 200 Meline Drive , Edmond, OK, US, 73034

Will break for lunch. Wear shoes that you can be active in! If you have any questions contact us or Mrs. Dara Gee. Plus its Free! If you plan on going, email Mrs. Gee or contact us so Mrs. Gee can have a count for snacks!**
